P.P. O’Connor is celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2026 with a major milestone: our CEO, Charmaine O’Connor, has joined the newly refreshed Trafford Growth & Skills Board – a partnership of local authorities, education providers, employers and support organisations working together to strengthen skills and drive inclusive growth across Trafford.
Charmaine’s appointment reinforces our commitment to shaping the future workforce and contributing to the borough’s long‑term prosperity.
At the heart of that mission are our apprentices. They bring energy, fresh ideas and real impact to our projects across civil engineering, surveying, construction and land‑based services. This year’s theme, “Skills for Life,” reflects their journey perfectly – gaining qualifications, practical experience and the confidence to build meaningful careers.
We’re proud to recognise:
- Scott Reynolds – Civil Engineering Senior Technician (Level 4)
- Ben Murphy – Construction Support Technician (Level 3)
- Stanley Rostron – Chartered Surveyor (Degree, Level 6)
- Lewis Glover – Land-Based Service Engineering Technician (Level 3)
- Thomas Perrin – Civil Engineering Senior Technician (Level 4)
- Harvey Ruane – Chartered Surveyor (Degree, Level 6)
- Bobby Moran – Construction Site Management (Degree, Level 6)
Their dedication is helping us strengthen our teams, close skills gaps and shape projects that benefit communities across the region.
Apprenticeships remain a cornerstone of our talent strategy. They give people accessible routes into rewarding careers and ensure our business is equipped with the technical and professional skills needed for the future. We’re incredibly proud of the contribution our apprentices make every day — and grateful to the mentors who support their development.
